Development of Virtual Museums
FTS AE develops three-dimensional virtual environments that may include digitized spaces of real museums rooms or virtual museum spaces, designed from scratch by us, (i.e. such spaces exist only inside the computer). Inside this 3D virtual space we can then insert digitized works of art, with full texture mapping applied, placing them on personalized digital stands. The lighting of the virtual environment of the museum can also be emulated. Once the virtual spaces and exhibits are completed, we can then design the Virtual tour (walk-through with automatic or interactive navigation), combined with narration, music and dynamic captions. The analysis of the photorealistic exhibits is chosen according to the features of the instrument through which is made the projection. For example, if the projection of the virtual museum is transmitted through the Internet (e.g. website), then for navigation to be quick and efficient requires the analysis of the exhibits to be relatively low. If the virtual navigation is done within a museum, and a powerful personal computer is available, then the digital dynamic 3D viewing projection of the exhibits can be done with very high resolution.
